"Rod the Unicorn," Unicorn Character Illustration, Color Pencil, 1997
Rod is the third character illustration in my "Xohlyn Collection" from early University.
If a big white unicorn can have attitude, Rod can. He spends as much time in human form as his magic will allow. While girls seem enthralled by him and think he's cute, he's a little defensive about being, well, a unicorn. (At least size isn't an issue!) So don't poke fun at him too much or he might just poke you back, and that horn looks pretty sharp. Colored pencil with an acrylic wash.
I try to keep the scans and photos on this page as close to the actual colors in the original pieces as possible, but some variation may occur depending on your monitor.
